Jill has had her songs included on a host of soundtrack and compilation albums. Following are the albums of particular note, or where she has contributed songs not available on her own recordings.

1995 - Clueless / Supermodel

1996 / The Truth About Cats and Dogs / Where Do I Begin
1996 / Grace Of My Heart / Truth Is You Lied
1996 / Harriet The Spy / The Secretive Life
1999 / Mystery Men / Rainy Day Parade

In 1992, Todd Rundgren included "Too Cool To Fall In Love" from "Things Here Are Different" on his "An Elpee's Worth Of Productions." Regardless of the unfortunate poor retail and radio showing of her first album, Jill was first brought to the attention of the industry at large simply because of Todd's involvement. Don't forget that Jill was before Tori Amos, before Shawn Colvin, before Jewel, before Dido, before the solo female musician found her place in the "business." Her record company flat out dropped the ball and didn't know what to do with her.

On the other hand, Vin Scelsa has been a good friend to Jill and made a point of featuring her on the cover of his "Grooves Magazine" CD in 1995. While everybody else was talking about "I Kissed A Girl" Vin included "The Jig Is Up" to bring attention to her stellar writing and playing - and prove she was and is more than just a novelty act.

Atlantic released an enhanced "Spew" CD in 1995. "Good Person Inside" was the featured Jill song on this disc, but it's the inclusion of a short video for "The Man In The Boat" that makes this disc special. Also known as "The Clitoris Song" it is laced with double entendre and is just another example of the smart writing that Jill so easily entertains us with. That Summer, the folks at 2Way Media released their second interactive "Launch" CD magazine and included a feature section for Jill. A good collection of sound bites from "I Kissed A Girl", "Karen By Night" and "Good Person Inside" make this a nice little collection - and unlike a lot of enhanced CD's, this one actually works.

Late that same year of 1995, Atlantic released the "You Sleigh Me" compilation. Featuring 12 artists for the 12 days of Christmas, Jill's cover of "Merry Christmas From The Family" is priceless.

Laura Nyro passed away in 1997, and the tribute album "Time and Love - The Music Of Laura Nyro" was released with Jill performing "Stoned Soul Picnic."

In 1997, Vin Scelsa again hosted and brought Jill in for "In Their Own Words" at the Bottom Line club in New York - "a bunch of songwriters sittin' around singing." Recorded live, Jill plays and sings Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive" (go here) with Billy Bragg handling backup vocals.

VH1 released another enhanced CD in 1997. "Hard Rock Live" also features "I Will Survive."

"The Saddest Day Of The Year" is on BMG’s 1998 Holiday collection "A Christmas to Remember."

Jill's cover of "Just A Little Lovin'" is featured on the Dusty Springfield "Forever Dusty" tribute album.

In 1999 Jill contributed her version of "Sunrise, Sunset" for the Knitting Factory release of Knitting On The Roof - "Modern Interpretations of the Classic Musical Fiddler On The Roof."
